After a year off, I'm back, and thank you very much for writing for me! I'm bygoshbygolly on AO3. Below are some general details on the things I am into, and below that are more specific prompts and ideas for each fandom. While pretty much anything that doesn't hit my DNWs will make me happy, I know it can be helpful to have something more specific than 'go wild.'

Likes: fairytales (both fairytale AUs and just the general tone and language), quiet intimacy, trust, loyalty, superhero AUs, deep friendships, wrong choices made for the right reasons, get-together fic, 'i hate them but it's complicated', slow burn, focusing on hands, monsters, everyday magic and magical realism, the gap between expectations and reality, fake dating/married, awkward flirting, canon-divergence AUs, missing scenes, metaphors taken as literal, bitterness, worldbuilding

Any (Jen, Aiko, Seo-Yun)

This is my favorite short story, and I've read it so many times I've lost track. It's wonderfully creepy and atmospheric and fraught, and the last scene! It's amazing.

- I'd love to read more about Jen and Aiko, whether it be pre-canon fic with Jen realizing how tantalizing Aiko's thoughts are, or post-canon fic where she's managed to bring Aiko back, especially came-back-wrong fic. How do they continue, after what happened at the party?

- I'd also love to read something focusing on Aiko, and how she knew about Seo-Yun (and must have suspected about Jen) all that time. How did she keep that a secret? How did she feel about the whole idea of eating thoughts, and how do you cater that?

- Anything more about Seo-Yun would be great, whether that be how she started having her parties, or how she picks her caterers/guests/victims, or her time with Jen.

- Weird smut between any of them, especially with the thought-eating aspect!

Any ship, or no ship, is good with me. I'd also be interested in anything to do with worldbuilding, or recipe-fic.

Revolutionary Girl Utena

Utena, Anthy

I feel this series is nearing the end of its Yuletide eligibility, and I'm going to request fic as long as I can. I've received some wonderful fic before, too! It was love at first viewing for me with this series, and every time I rewatch it I get something new out of it. I love the playing with fairy tale ideas, and the weirdness of Ohtori, and all the endless symbolism. And I love Utena's well meaning cluelessness, and how manipulative and bitter and tragic Anthy is. I ship Utena/Anthy, but as long as they're important to each other, even if they don't entirely understand why, I'll be happy.

- Ever since I heard Ikuhara tossed around the idea of the duelists using guns, I've wanted a Western!AU for this series. Utena the drifter wanders into a weird town and gets more than she bargained for, Anthy is the mysterious mayor's sister, duels and Weird West tropes everywhere. Anything playing with this idea!

- I'm also interested in post-series fic, especially in the wasteland the movie shows. But anything exploring how the series affected the characters and what life is like outside of Ohtori would be good. Do Anthy and Utena meet again, and what are the circumstances there?

- Any fairy-tale AU, or messing with fairy tale tropes would be great.

- Anthy's Malice- fun five-times fic or something darker, or anything really that explores the ways Anthy messes with people would be great.

Definitely feel free to get weird, and to include any other characters. If there's any ideas you've had for this series/these characters but thought "Hmm, maybe that's too self-indulgent" I am interested! I love that! You can include rape as part of the fill in a canon-typical way, I'd just prefer it not be the entirety of the fill.

Teppuu (Manga)

Ishidou Natsuo

Teppu is great, for me, because Natsuo is basically a super-villain in training while also being the protagonist. The fight scenes are intense and I love the different relationships between all the girls. Plus, a sports manga thats a) about girls, b) not full of weird fanservice, and c) actually complete! I love all the women and their rivalries and insecurities and weirdness.

I only requested Natsuo because she's my favorite but also because I like all her relationships. All other characters are more than welcome!

I’m interested in: post-series fic where Natsuo keeps training- where does she go after the last chapter? What about G-Girl? Does Kei become a ring girl? (probably not but hey) Are Natsuo and Kei dating? Do Sanae and Natsuo ever make up? How does Natsuo and Karin's mentor/mentee relationship develop? Do Natsuo and Lindsay ever fight?

Also good: supervillain AU, monsters AU, if you have knowledge of/experience with women's MMA and want an excuse to show it off through fic. Gen or shipfic is fine; additional, unnominated characters are definitely fine.

Since the last time I requested this series, it's been licensed in English and fully released digitally through Kodansha!

Snotgirl
Lottie "Snottie" Persons, Caroline | Coolgirl

The title is kind of offputting, but I really enjoyed this series! Leslie Hung's art is gorgeous and Bryan Lee O'Malley's writing is solid, and I love the creepiness of Caroline and the way the conspiracy has been developing (and also: the recent appearance of the TikTok cult).

Lottie and Caroline's relationship is so obviously toxic and Caroline is clearly manipulative, and even though I want good things for Lottie I'm loving it anyway. Other characters from the series are definitely welcome in the fic!

- What do you think has happened before, and where do you think Lottie fits into it? Do you think she can break the cycle?

- More about Lottie and Caroline's relationship, with Lottie thinking it's perfect but obviously it isn't? Appearances are so important to her, after all.

- Social media outside perspective fic? So much of Lottie's life is about her social media presence, and they've already had a moment their relationship go viral, I think this could be great

- Lottie's nightmares are so creepy- I'd love to see them played with more. Caroline as an actual monster? A succubus or vampire?

Snotgirl is available through Image Comics, and I read it through Libby, so worth checking if it's there!

Sometimes you see a boy who misses his dead girlfriend so much he tries to commit suicide multiple times, and you're kinda into that. Sometimes you start dating that boy, and every time you have sex, his dead girlfriend manifests, and it turns out you're kinda into that as well.

This was such a weird, messed up movie and I was so deeply into its whole deal. I want more of Nina and Holly's whole deal- I wish had more specific prompts but "more" is all I can think of. Post-canon fic where they're dealing with their new reality. Dreamy erotic-horror. Just absolutely batshit scenarios. Shipfic, genfic, whatever!

The Righteous Gemstones
Judy Gemstone, BJ Barnes

The Righteous Gemstones is such a fun, weird show full of ridiculous, weird people. When we first met Judy, I thought "oh, she's being sidelined because of sexism," and then we watched more and I realized "ok sexism plays a part, but she's also completely unhinged." And then BJ shows up and comes off as normal, but turns out to also be a weird little guy. I love Judy's relationship with her family, and how BJ's relationship to them changes over the seasons. Also, while it sometimes sucked to see Judy being dismissive of BJ, the moments where they just get each other were so delightful, and where they are at the end of s3 made me so happy. I'm so excited for more of them.

- I'd love to see a story about how they first met- what was it that drew them to each other, and kept them together- they definitely don't seem like they'd work, but there was clearly something that did!

- Judy and BJ competing against Jesse and Amber (and possibly Kelvin and Keefe too!) to see who can be America's Next Top Megachurch Power Couple- up to you whether the others are aware this is a competition that is even happening or if it's just something Judy and BJ decided to do on their own

- Smut option- just them having fun weird sex! I'd love to see a weird roleplay from them, but from what we've seen in the show I think there are a lot of possibilities for just going hard on whatever unconventional sex you can see them having (Note- I know there's a watersports reference for them, and honestly I love that for them, but for fic I'd prefer if it stayed a reference rather than being a focus of the fic).

- I love that painting of them fully nude in their living room- what sort of decision making happened there? How did they get that done? Do they have other erotic and/or religious artworks of them in the house?

Bloods (TV 2021)
Jo, George

Bloods is a fun sitcom about paramedics with a great cast, and I love all the characters dearly (desperate for a s3 after that s2 finale!). I didn't find myself wanting fic, though, until s2 came along and introduced George, sent to assess the mental health of Jo's depot. Seeing George and Jo snip and snipe and bring out the worst in each other was an absolute delight. And when the back half of s2 came out and they started seeing each other more as people, possibly even someone they could be friends with, that was also wonderful.

I know Jo got together with Laurence in s2, and honestly that's a fun relationship, but what I really want is Jo/George. Or more Jo & George! Basically, I want Jo and I want George and I want them to interact.

I'd love hatesex set some time during the first half of s2, with each of them seeing it as a victory in some way, or a bottle episode type deal where they're forced into sustained proximity with each other and have to deal with that.

Or something post-canon, where maybe they start hanging out, and are surprised at how much they enjoy it. I'd be happy with something in which Jo and Laurence never got together, or something where they break up. So long as these women are being awful at each other, I'll be happy! Also, if you have experience as a paramedic and want to throw any details or stories in, I'd love that.

Fandom-specific DNW: Fic focused on George relapsing (if you want something quantitative, say, no more than a quarter dealing heavily with the relapse); a Noel Fielding character for Laurence (for reference, see the current AO3 section for Bloods)

Bartimaeus Trilogy- Jonathan Stroud

Bartimaeus, Kitty Jones, Ptolemy

I requested, and received, a fic with these three several years ago, and it was absolutely lovely, and my love for them periodically bubbles back up. I love this series, especially Ptolemy's Gate, which hits so many things that I love, with the team-up between Bartimaeus and Kitty, the Gate, the look into Bartimaeus and Ptolemy's relationship...

I'm not going to lie, I ship the three of them. I love the fierce idealism of Ptolemy and Kitty, combined with Bartimaeus' cynicism and begrudging affection. I think they'd be great together if, you know, they weren't separated by 2,000 years, a separate dimension, and Ptolemy being dead. If you can finagle a way to write OT3 fic for them, I would be absolutely over the moon.

Other possible ideas: Ptolemy, Kitty, and Bartimaeus meeting in the Other Place, thanks to the mutability of time. Bartimaeus thinking about Ptolemy and Kitty and what it would be like if they met properly. Ptolemy gets resurrected, somehow, and chaos ensues. Alternatively, Kitty travels back in time, somehow, and chaos ensues.

The Bartimaeus trilogy should be available at plenty of bookstores/libraries, and is almost definitely available online.

The Final Girl Support Group- Grady Hendrix
Worldbuilding

I think I enjoyed the concept and universe of The Final Girl Support Group more than the actual story, although I enjoyed that as well, for sure. As someone who has only recently started watching horror, and even more recently started watching slashers, I was fascinated by the idea that the world in The Final Girl Support Group had a series of popular horror films based off real-life tragedies, and that those tragedies could fall out of style. I couldn't help but wonder if it was a question of those sort of things no longer happening, in universe, or if they happened and people just didn't care? The way Lynnette talked about final girls made it seem like they just stopped happening; the fact that our universe has a ton of other slashers besides the ones the book was modeled on suggests otherwise. Are all slasher films in the book universe based on real life, or just the well-known ones? Do horror fans have debates about slashers based on real events vs those that are made up? What is the difference between true crime and horror, and what are the ethics of either?

Also: The Dream King! They only hinted at what his deal was- kind of like Freddy Kreuger, but it was implied there was a lot more going on than just murdering people in their dreams. He had a whole network! I'd love to know about that.

Feel free to go absolutely nuts with this one- epistolary/ephemera, something in the world but based on your favorite slasher, metafic, casefic, something taking place at a horror convention...whatever! I've noticed a resurgence of interest in the slasher recently, and the final girl- is that a cycle that is playing out in the world of the book? Any characters from the book are welcome.

For the "no major character death" DNW- I realize that comes with the territory for slashers, so consider it waived here, too. Just, please, no hopeless endings.

Infinity Train
Lake | MT

Infinity Train is a charming and unexpectedly emotional cartoon series about a magical neverending train that forces people to confront their issues. It's anthology style, with each season following a different set of main characters, but all the stories are linked. There are cool robots and cute animals and some wonderfully bizarre characters and events.

While I love all the main characters, I really want to see fic about Lake in the real world, considering she's made of chrome and also just magically appeared there one day. What is it like living in a world she's only ever seen from a reflection's point of view? Does she bump into Tulip again, or does she do everything she can to avoid that? Does she become a successful punk rocker? Does she find herself mirroring others, however unintentionally, and how does she react to that? Does she miss the train?

I'd also be interested in seeing Lake's adventures on the train, either before she met Jesse and Alan Dracula, or a "missing episode" style story. There are so many cool possible ideas for cars.

Lake discovering she's her own person rather than simply a reflection could also be really interesting, especially given how much her world seems to frown on that.

I don't particularly ship Jesse/Lake, but I don't not ship them either, so feel free to write it if you want! I'd just prefer it not be the central focus. And a fandom-specific DNW: I DNW fic explicitly comparing Lake's situation to undocumented immigrants. Offhand references to her not having any real world paperwork and potential problems resulting from that are fine, but please don't get overtly political.

Jurassic Park
None

I love these movies, I love dinosaurs, I love Laura Dern, and I love the music. I've watched all of them multiple times, and I will watch them many more. They're just so great! Even the second and third ones, which aren't as good as the first, are great.

I'd really love to see some worldbuilding fic for Jurassic Park. There has to be a whole world of conspiracy theories surrounding the islands and the T.Rex in San Diego, and I would love to read some of them. Perhaps on a message board?

Jurassic Park 3 shows there are people willing to take tourists to Isla Sorna, and I'd love to see one of those trips- millionaires who want the world's most exotic hunting trip? Scientists who want to see dinosaurs in the flesh to study them? Does it end well or does everyone die a comic and/or karmic death?

Another option is pre-canon fic, back when people were still hopeful and believed in the idea of Jurassic Park. Or something from the point of view of Clever Girl.

If there is a story you've been dying to tell with any of the selected characters, though, go for it! I've loved these movies since I was a kid and there isn't much I wouldn't be interested in.

Unfortunately I don't think it's streaming anywhere at the moment, but it is available for purchase from a bunch of places.

Bartimaeus Trilogy- Jonathan Stroud

Bartimaeus, Kitty Jones, Ptolemy

I requested, and received, a fic with these three several years ago, and it was absolutely lovely, and now my love for them has bubbled back up. I love this series, especially Ptolemy's Gate, which hits so many things that I love, with the team-up between Bartimaeus and Kitty, the Gate, the look into Bartimaeus and Ptolemy's relationship...

I'm really interested in the dynamic between these three characters- their similarities and differences and goals. Also, Ptolemy being dead is kind of a big deal for Bartimaeus, so the 'no major character death' DNW is handwaved for this.

The Bartimaeus trilogy should be available at plenty of bookstores/libraries, and is almost definitely available online.

Characters: Any

This series has a special place in my heart. I love the worldbuilding (especially the gestures and everyday magic) and the sense of how that world changes over the series. The omniscient third-person narrator provides an interesting look into all the different characters, and I am really attached to all of them. Last year I received a gorgeous fic for this fandom, but I love this series and would be perfectly happy to receive something for it every year.

I'm interested in any character or character combination. I want to read anything and everything: shipfic, fic on a ship, political machinations, character studies, adventure, furious arguments and/or pining...if you already have an idea of what you want to write, go for it.

While I love the canon setting, I can’t let go of the idea of SPACE AU. Evred, king of a militarily powerful, yet culturally backwater planet. Fox, the space pirate. Jeje the trader who doesn't think much of planet-bound folk, and even less of kings.

Fox and Evred meeting! Fox, especially, has such strong feelings regarding Evred. I’d love to see these two neurotic redheads meet. Especially with the specter of Inda (real or metaphorical) between them. Or Fox looking into Evred's head and finding they have more in common than he'd like to admit.

Post-canon fic! Jeje sailing with Fox could be fun to read about, or her time as Harbormaster. Evred and Tau seeing the world. Fox out of time. Inda and Fox at Darchelde.

I'd love to read about Fox and Inda's year scouting after the whole Wafri incident, too. I've always wondered what happened, or what might have happened.

I'd also love to see journal entries and letters, or, on a meta-level, bits of a Colendi play featuring Jeje in her red robe, spouting truths.

Hungry Daughters of Starving Mothers- Alyssa Wong

This is my favorite short story, and I've read it so many times I've lost track. It's wonderfully creepy and atmospheric and fraught, and the last scene! It's amazing. It can be read here.

I'd love to read more about Jen and Aiko, whether it be pre-canon fic with Jen realizing how tantalizing Aiko's thoughts are, or post-canon fic where she's managed to bring Aiko back, especially came-back-wrong fic. How do they continue, after what happened at the party?

I'd also love to read something focusing on Aiko, and how she knew about Seo-Yun (and must have suspected about Jen) all that time. How did she keep that a secret? How did she feel about the whole idea of eating thoughts, and how do you cater that?

Revolutionary Girl Utena
Utena, Anthy

It was love at first viewing for me with this series, and every time I rewatch it I get something new out of it. I love the playing with fairy tale ideas, and the weirdness of Ohtori, and all the endless symbolism. And I love Utena's well meaning cluelessness, and how manipulative and bitter and tragic Anthy is.

I ship Utena/Anthy, but as long as they're important to each other, even if they don't entirely understand why, I'll be happy.

Ever since I heard Ikuhara tossed around the idea of the duelists using guns, I've wanted a Western!AU for this series. Utena the drifter wanders into a weird town and gets more than she bargained for, Anthy is the mysterious mayor's sister, duels and Weird West tropes everywhere. Anything playing with this idea!

I'm also interested in post-series fic, especially in the wasteland the movie shows. But anything exploring how the series affected the characters and what life is like outside of Ohtori would be good. Do Anthy and Utena meet again, and what are the circumstances there?

Any fairy-tale AU, or messing with fairy tale tropes would be great. Or, and I can't believe I'm writing this, something along the lines of Shrek? What happens when a witch and a would-be prince fall in love, when there's nothing in the stories that allows for that?

Anthy's Malice- fun five-times fic or something darker, or anything really that explores the ways Anthy messes with people would be great.

Definitely feel free to get weird, and to include any other characters. If there's any ideas you've had for this series/these characters but thought "Hmm, maybe that's too self-indulgent" I am interested! I love that!

Dungeon Meshi | Delicious in Dungeon
Laius, Senshi

I love this manga! It’s so much fun; the plot is interesting and the characters are ridiculous and the humor and art is fantastic. I love how the worldbuilding is unfolding, with dungeons being a feature of the world with social and economic implications, and the magic and monsters and really, all of it. I love every single member of the main party, and the side characters are all so wonderfully distinct.

I chose Laius and Senshi because I really like their dynamic, and how they interact with the dungeon as well. Laius has learned a lot from Senshi about the ecosystem of the dungeon, as well as how to cook various monsters, and Senshi has learned more about the actual creatures he's been living with.

I'd love to read recipe fic for this series, or anything focusing on the importance of food. A side quest ft Laius and Senshi would also be great- what sort of monsters do they bump into, and how do they deal with them?

Post-series fic would also be great, however you see that happening- King Laius with Senshi as head chef/gamekeeper/adviser, or moving on to another dungeon with Farlyn and the others, or opening a restaurant together, or anything else!

If you want to write backstory for one of them, I'd also be happy to read that- no need to include both of them, and of course feel free to include any other characters you want. We already have some backstory for Laius and Senshi, but I really do love them, and there's still plenty of stories to be told for them. Really, just have fun!
