Happy New Year, happy Valentine's Day, happy Chocolate Box season! I am bygoshbygolly on AO3. Thank you for writing for me, and I hope you take this opportunity to be self-indulgent and have fun writing or drawing! I love when you can tell someone enjoyed themselves during the creation process, dark or fluffy or whatever. Below are some general likes and my DNW, as well as specific prompts for each fandom, should you want them.
For art: any of the above AUs, playing with the symbolism or scenes from the show (I especially loved Anthy stabbing Utena in the back), the future, quiet moments between them
Saiyuki (Fic, Art)
Chin Yisou/Cho Gonou, Chin Yisou/Cho Hakkai; Cho Hakkai/Sha Gojyo; Koumyou Sanzo/Ni Jianyi | Ukoku
Saiyuki was one of my first manga loves, and the first series I owned in its entirety (until Reload, and Reload: Blast, etc). I loved it, and still love it, warts and all. Minekura's art is amazing, and rereading the series brings back those old feelings in a good way. I recently was reminded of how much I love the series, so I was excited to see it in the tag set, and to submit some ships. I'm caught up with the canon, and am happy with anything from the just original 9 volumes or beyond, so don't feel you have to read everything.
The fourth volume of Saiyuki, Hakkai's backstory, was the first shrinkwrapped manga I ever bought, and it made a big impression on me. That, combined with the fact I was an Edgy Teen, is probably why I was, and still am, so into Chin Yisou/Hakkai. I love Chin Yisou's obsession with Gounou/Hakkai, and the fucked up backstory and games he played. I'd be interested in a bad end type deal, or canon divergence from before Gonou became Hakkai, or a different take on Chin Yisou's torment of Hakkai. If you choose the bad end, consider the 'no hopeless endings' DNW waived.
Hakkai/Gojyo is a classic ship, and one of my oldest. It's just so good! They help each other, and are bastards to each other, and the whole take on their initial meeting is incredibly romantic to me. Especially the part where Gojyo senses Hakkai is in danger, after Hakkai talked about how he felt he should have sensed Kanan in danger. I'd love more fic from their backstory, or something more recent, with Gojyo's mark. Playing the guilt game, pining, a quiet night together, some ridiculous trope...all would be good!
I love Koumyou/Ukoku to pieces. Two absolute weirdos who should probably not be priests but are instead the highest form of priest, hanging out together and getting into trouble. I'd love something that plays on either of them pretending to be less than they are, whether that's taking the other in or the other thinking about how they're not fooled. If you want to have Ukoku as Ni somehow resurrecting Koumyou, or being haunted by him, that would also be awesome.

DCU Comics (Fic, Art)
Booster Gold/Ted Kord, Floyd Lawton/Thomas Blake
Comics. What a mess, right? I was neck deep in my love for the DCU when they decided to introduce the new 52, and I've never quite recovered. I have, however, maintained my love for Booster/Ted, ship of ships, and will always be into Deadshot/Catman from Secret Six.
For Booster/Ted, I love their goofy friendship full of bad jokes and madcap schemes and deep trust and love for each other. They've had their ups and downs, but in the end, they care about each other so deeply that Booster suffered a bazillion sufferings just to bring Ted back, and Ted knew what a hero Booster really was. For this ship, you can pretty much pick a trope, any trope, and I'd enjoy it. Time loops! Body swap! Sex pollen! Only one bed! Wing fic! Live your dreams. If you are feeling more on the angsty side, there is...also time loops, pining, Ted haunting Booster, and their fights. Any pre-new 52 era is good!
I read that panel of shirtless Catman and Deadshot with weapons at each others throats talking about cooking eggs and I was hooked. Two beefcakes who are kind of awful but maybe not as awful as they could be, with mad sexual tension? Sign me up. Again, this is comics, so feel free to get super tropey and weird. Fake relationship (so they can kill someone or infiltrate an evil organization)? Literal catboy Catman? Trapped in a small space together? The sky's the limit.

Ethan Hart & Matty & Johnson, Ethan Hart/Matty/Johnson
Reprisal was an incredibly stylish show with some solid characters and performances, an interesting underworld, and some less-than-stellar pacing. Sadly, it was cancelled after one season, possibly due to that last thing. That said, I really enjoyed the characters, and where the show left off with the 3 River Phoenixes had me wanting more. Johnson has been a Phoenix for ages, Matty takes the job seriously but wants to move on, and Ethan has found something to be part of for the first time. I'd love to see that in fic, whether that be missing scenes from the series, or what happens after the show, friendly or romantic or antagonistic even, just the three of them or with any of the other characters (especially Joel and Meredith).
I loved how people kept referring to Ethan as fragile and "dollface"- did that happen to Matty and/or Johnson, too? Or is it just Ethan who everyone thinks is delicate and pretty? Johnson's been through two massacres of his gang now- how's he feeling about it? What is Matty going to do now he picked loyalty to the Phoenixes over the Brawlers? What sort of shenanigans did they get up to off-screen during the show? I'm really interested in anything here!

It was love at first viewing for me with this series, and every time I rewatch it I get something new out of it. I love the playing with fairy tale ideas, and the weirdness of Ohtori, and all the endless symbolism. And I love Utena's well meaning cluelessness, and how manipulative and bitter and tragic Anthy is.
Ever since I heard Ikuhara tossed around the idea of the duelists using guns, I've wanted a Western!AU for this series. Utena the drifter wanders into a weird town and gets more than she bargained for, Anthy is the mysterious mayor's sister, duels and Weird West tropes everywhere. Anything playing with this idea!
Any fairy-tale AU, or messing with fairy tale tropes would be great. Or, and I can't believe I'm writing this, something along the lines of Shrek? What happens when a witch and a would-be prince fall in love, when there's nothing in the stories that allows for that?
Anthy's Malice- fun five-times fic or something darker, or anything really that explores the ways Anthy messes with people would be great. OK if you want to include Anthy/other characters for this, so long as Anthy/Utena is also involved
Definitely feel free to get weird, and to include any other characters. If there's any ideas you've had for this series/these characters but thought "Hmm, maybe that's too self-indulgent" I am interested! I love that!

Hanaoka Shizuku/Hiyama Chinatsu, Hiyama Chinatsu/Koumoto Akira
I love the girls in this series! I love Chinatsu's arrogance and skill, and how she's learning how to compromise. I loved seeing Akira's backstory, and how she seems to be taking steps forward. I love Shizuku's fierce competitiveness and fear of being left behind. Absolutely feel free to get into gender politics here, with how the leader and partner roles are seen and how that affects these girls.
I'd love to see anything about Shizuku and Chinatsu's competitiveness and how their roles and pasts affect them. Shizuku is seen as the ideal partner, whereas Chinatsu is a 'runaway mare' who needs to be 'tamed'. They each envy each other, at least a little, but they're also friends.
For Chinatsu and Akira, what I'd really love is something post-canon (or, post-current canon, I guess) where they try and reconnect. They have so much baggage to work through, but the feelings of affection are still there, and I'm so interested in seeing how that would go. How do you become friends again when you're in the habit of hurting each other?
